This organization was formed to foster brotherhood and to assist its members and the general community with both moral and financial support, as needed and as IFS resources allow.  The Society was established for the purposes of mutual voluntary aid, assistance and/or help in cases of sickness, death and/or distress and for mutual civil, social, and moral elevation.  The IFS was incorporated as a benevolent, charitable, scientific, and missionary society to further promotes such obligations and responsibilities in the community.            

 

The Organization will solicit, collect, or otherwise raise money for said purposes and expand, disburse, and otherwise handle and dispose of such monies for the purpose stated.            

 

However, this organization is not formed or operated for the pecuniary (monetary) profit or financial gain of its members or officers, except as permitted under Article 5 of the Not For Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York and as approved by the membership at a regularly scheduled meeting.             

 

The official mark or insignia of the IFS will be a handshake symbolic of the organization’s purposes.
